Rush Freewill Lyrics

03:53 May 31 2012
Times Read: 500

There are those who think that life is nothing left to chance,

A host of holy horrors to direct our aimless dance.

A planet of playthings,

We dance on the strings

Of powers we cannot perceive.

"The stars aren't aligned

Or the gods are malign"-

Blame is better to give than receive.

You can choose a ready guide in some celestial voice.

If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

You can choose from phantom fears and kindness that can kill;

I will choose a path that's clear-

I will choose Free Will.

There are those who think that they were dealt a losing hand,

The cards were stacked against them- they weren't born in lotus-land.

All preordained-

A prisoner in chains-

A victim of venomous fate.

Kicked in the face,

You can't pray for a place

In heaven's unearthly estate.

You can choose a ready guide in some celestial voice.

If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

You can choose from phantom fears and kindness that can kill;

I will choose a path that's clear-

I will choose Free Will.

Each of us-

A cell of awareness-

Imperfect and incomplete.

Genetic blends

With uncertain ends

On a fortune hunt that's far too fleet.

How Do 'Bath Salts' Drive People Crazy?

20:03 May 30 2012
Times Read: 506

By Natalie Wolchover | LiveScience.com – 1 hr 29 mins ago

On Saturday in Miami, a naked, "zombielike" man viciously attacked a homeless man, biting off and eating much of his face. Police shot and killed the 31-year-old attacker, Rudy Eugene, who, according to some news outlets, may have been high on "bath salts" at the time of his cannibalistic attack.

These soothing-sounding substances are not what they seem. Manufactured in China and sold legally online and in drug paraphernalia stores under misleading brand names like "Ivory Wave," bath salts contain a bevy of newly concocted chemicals, such as methylenedioxypyrovalerone (MDPV), which aren't yet banned by the federal government. When snorted, injected or smoked, the synthetic powders can induce a state of paranoid delirium paired with abnormal strength, a combination that often leads to horrific acts of violence.

In short, "bath salts" actually do live up to the warnings of old-school anti-drug ads, which cautioned potential users of insanity, death and murder. The salts work by putting the brain's survival instincts into overdrive, essentially causing an extreme adrenaline rush that lasts for hours rather than moments.

MDPV, the active ingredient in "bath salts," increases the body's concentration of adrenalinelike hormones that prepare the heart, muscle tissue and the brain for the "fight or flight" response, explained Thomas Penders, an associate professor in the department of psychiatric medicine at East Carolina University. It does this by stopping neurons in the brain from reabsorbing the chemicals dopamine and norepinephrine immediately after secreting them, as would normally happen. This leads to a steady buildup of these neurochemicals, which trigger a person's primal survival behaviors, Penders told Life's Little Mysteries.

"One system of circuits in our brains are wired to detect and respond to threats. Overstimulation of this circuit leads to overestimation of actions by others as threatening. When the system becomes overwhelmed, as it does [from an overdose of] 'bath salts,' a condition develops known as 'excited delirium,'" he said. [Slideshow: Scientists Analyze Drawings by an Acid-Tripping Artist]

Crack cocaine, methamphetamine, ecstasy and PCP can also induce "excited delirium." It's a state of paranoid fearfulness and rage mixed with seemingly superhuman strength, as more oxygen is delivered to muscles, increasing their power. "This, to some extent, explains the bizarre aggressive behaviors we have seen during the recent rash of 'bath salt' cases," Penders said. "[However,] I cannot imagine what the individual in Miami was perceiving to fully explain the vicious attack described there."

Even if no one else gets hurt, sufferers of "excited delirium" can wind up dead or in the emergency room, with medical complications such as cardiac arrhythmias, a spike in body and brain temperature, muscle breakdown and kidney failure.

While overdoses of crack cocaine, methamphetamine, ecstasy and PCP can also induce "excited delirium," one particular danger of "bath salts" is that there's no way to gauge how large a dose will trigger the effects, despite the product's appearance of manufactured consistency. Because the substances are not made in the U.S. or regulated for consumption, studies have found varying concentrations of the active compounds from package to package, said Patrick Kyle, director of clinical chemistry and toxicology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. This leads to unintended overdoses.

"The user assumes that since one dose of ‘XYZ’ brand gave him/her a ‘rush’ with the last use, one dose will give the same effect," Kyle wrote in an email. "The user may unknowingly overdose on the same amount of product from the same 'brand.'"

I've heard of some of these stories on the news...this is just crazy, like our world

needs something else to make us crazy!

I think manufactures should stop making it, and take it off the shelves.

Albert Einstein Quotes about Spirituality

17:09 May 23 2012

I want to know how God created this world. I am not interested in this or that phenomenon, in the spectrum of this or that element. I want to know His thoughts; the rest are details.

. Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind.

. My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior spirit who reveals himself in the slight details we are able to perceive with our frail and feeble mind.

. The further the spiritual evolution of mankind advances, the more certain it seems to me that the path to genuine religiosity does not lie through the fear of life, and the fear of death, and blind faith, but through striving after rational knowledge.

. Every one who is seriously involved in the pursuit of science becomes convinced that a spirit is manifest in the laws of the Universe -- a spirit vastly superior to that of man, and one in the face of which we with our modest powers must feel humble.

. The scientists' religious feeling takes the form of a rapturous amazement at the harmony of natural law, which reveals an intelligence of such superiority that, compared with it, all the systematic thinking and acting of human beings is an utterly insignificant reflection.

. There is no logical way to the discovery of elemental laws. There is only the way of intuition, which is helped by a feeling for the order lying behind the appearance.

. The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.

. The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious; It is the source of all true art and science.

. We should take care not to make the intellect our god; it has, of course, powerful muscles, but no personality.

. Whoever undertakes to set himself up as a judge of Truth and Knowledge is shipwrecked by the laughter of the Gods.

. When the solution is simple, God is answering.

. God does not play dice with the universe.

. God is subtle but he is not malicious.

. A human being is a part of the whole, called by us Universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole nature in its beauty.

. Nothing will benefit human health and increase the chances for survival of life on Earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet.

. The man who regards his own life and that of his fellow creatures as meaningless is not merely unfortunate but almost disqualified for life.

. Peace cannot be kept by force. It can only be achieved by understanding.

. Only a life lived for others is a life worth while.

. The human mind is not capable of grasping the Universe. We are like a little child entering a huge library. The walls are covered to the ceilings with books in many different tongues. The child knows that someone must have written these books. It does not know who or how. It does not understand the languages in which they are written. But the child notes a definite plan in the arrangement of the books---a mysterious order which it does not comprehend, but only dimly suspects.

. The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity.

. What I see in Nature is a magnificent structure that we can comprehend only very imperfectly, and that must fill a thinking person with a feeling of humility. This is a genuinely religious feeling that has nothing to do with mysticism.

. The finest emotion of which we are capable is the mystic emotion. Herein lies the germ of all art and all true science. Anyone to whom this feeling is alien, who is no longer capable of wonderment and lives in a state of fear is a dead man. To know that what is impenetrable for us really exists and manifests itself as the highest wisdom and the most radiant beauty, whose gross forms alone are intelligible to our poor faculties - this knowledge, this feeling ... that is the core of the true religious sentiment. In this sense, and in this sense alone, I rank myself among profoundly religious men.

. The real problem is in the hearts and minds of men. It is easier to denature plutonium than to denature the evil spirit of man.

. True religion is real living; living with all one's soul, with all one's goodness and righteousness.

Witch or Wicca?

Comparison and contrast of the Wiccan Religion to Traditional Witchcraft

Let us start with the realization that to many people Wicca and witchcraft are the same. They are not! Wiccans feel free to review different belief systems and then blend together any points that "feel" right into their own eclectic personal path. Traditional Witchcraft on the other hand, may focus a little more tightly on using Magick to work with the elemental and spiritual forces in nature. There are many people that practice both so there is a large overlap which has led to the confusion of many about where one ends and the other begins.

Wicca is a religion based upon the premise that there is one deity that can be reached by prayer through many facets of their divine being. There is a single power defined as the One, All, or Source which is composed of everything it has ever created. This supreme energy force does not rule over the Universe, it IS the Universe. Since most find it difficult to talk to or call upon a faceless mass of Divine energy, this supreme power is personified into male and female aspects as the Goddess and God. This simply makes the concept easier for the human mind to comprehend and relate to. Many take this concept a step further and use actual names, like Astarte, Isis, Odin, Pan, Dianna, Cernunnos, etc., when invoking the Goddess and God. In the end, it is a personal preference and what a Wiccan uses depends on what "feels" right for them individually and for the action to be performed.

Witchcraft in ancient history was known as "The Craft of the Wise" because most that followed the path were in tune with the forces of nature, had knowledge of Herbs and medicines, gave council and were valuable parts of the village and community as Shamanic healers and leaders. They understood that mankind is not superior to nature, the earth and its creatures but instead we are simply one of the many parts, both seen and unseen that combine to make the whole.

A witch is a practitioner of folk magick, particularly that kind relating to herbs, stones, colors, wells, rivers, etc. Witchcraft is not a religion but a system of use of will, energy, symbolism, and correspondences in an attempt to change probability enough that it benefits the magick user. Witchs use many tools in their practice: athames, candles, bolines, herbs, tarot cards, crystals and many other items. A Wiccan needs no tools to practice their religion, however many have embraced many of the practices of ceremonial magick and have incorporated the use of the magickal tools in the preparation of their sacred space, the Magick Circle. Wiccans generally have a heavy emphasis on words, 'sometimes' rhyming, and also memorization of rituals. This is not always the case in traditional witchcraft. Witches are, often, known more for using what they have whenever they feel it is right- for emphasizing "why" a ritual is performed rather than "how" it is performed. Ceremonial practice is more a part of modern Wicca.

Some witches have a broader context or even non-religious beliefs about witchcraft. They consider 'the Craft' as a practical series of exercises that assist their attainment their magickal goals and in general, improve one's life.

In most traditions of Wicca, a person's intent rules whether an action is "ethical" or necessary. Wiccans generally honor the "Wiccan Rede," which is a poem developed in the twentieth century. Most Wiccans believe strongly in the threefold law, which states that any energy you send out will return to you three times as strong.

Witches do not have a written law to follow (unless established by their tradition). Witches do not rely on a "Rede" to define what is ethical and what is not, what is proper at what time, and what is not. Most witches do not agree with the Threefold law and feel it is completely illogical. Rather, most witches agree with the basic law of cause and effect. "For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction." Some witches practice dark arts and do not follow an ethic that involves performing magick only when it's for "the good of all."

Many Wiccans have a belief of reincarnation and karma to attain divinity over many lifetimes. They believe that each lifetime has lessons that are to be learned to develop the immortal spiritual self to become one with the Source. The idea is that each human spirit is reincarnated time after time into new physical bodies until a type of "spiritual enlightenment" is reached- each life being a new lesson and making the spirit "wiser."

Reincarnation is not a belief associated with witchcraft traditions. Traditionally, witches believe the afterlife is a mystery and that such an exact idea of what we encounter after death is not possible. Witches usually believe the spirit, or soul, will pass on and become a part of the spirit of the land or universe, become a spirit guardian or dwell with the guardians, and may possibly one day be reborn into the extended family in some form. This rebirth may not necessarily be physical, but spiritual, and in the form of a protector or guide. There are many variations of beliefs, but reincarnation is not a part of traditional witchcraft beliefs- it is a concept that was adopted by modern Wiccan tradition.

Wicca is a modern universal nature religion and Traditional Witchcraft is the use of will to bend reality that has been around since prehistory. Currently, there are so many shades of grey between the extremes that they have become hard to distinguish even to persons practicing them.

What characteristics does a witch need to have?

From Yahoo Answers

What characteristics does a witch need to have?

But I don't mean the pointy-nosed people on Halloween who fly on a broom stick. I mean the real witches.

I know that a lot of people will probably think I'm crazy since a lot think that witches don't exist.

But whoever does think witchcraft exists and knows what characteristics a witch needs to have, please tell me!

Best Answer

Well, a Witch must understand compassion. We can't just go off casting spells without thinking about the consequences. Therefore, a Witch must understand the Law of 3.

I believe that a Witch needs to be spiritual (I don't mean religious either.)

A Witch needs confidence, for several reasons. Witches will always get people that want to criticize them for being a Witch, and not only do we need confidence to deal with those people, but we need confidence in ourselves and in our spells.

T2 Change - A Witch should be courageous, courageous enough to be able to stand up and protect those that can’t protect themselves.

Witches are non-judgemental. T2 Add but critical in their thinking.

Witches need self control. Being a Witch can lead to a tremendous amount of power, and a Witch needs to know how to control that power.

The best Witches are those with a strong desire to help others.

Here you go. I giving all the serious intent it deserves. ;)

The Chocolate Ritual written by John Shepard,

Materials required: On the altar there are brown candles; a Tootsie Roll (the great big one-as the athame); a large glass with milk in it, (the chalice); a small dish of Nestlé's Quick and a spoon; a small dish of chocolate sprinkles; a plate of cupcakes and some Yoo-Hoo along with a goblet.

CLEANSE THE SACRED SPACE: (Take the small bowl of chocolate sprinkles) Chocolate sprinkles where thou art cast No calories in thy presence last. Let no fat adhere to me And as I will So Mote It BE! Nestlé's Quick where thou art cast Turn this milk to chocolate, fast. Let all good things come to me, and make my milk all chocolaty!

CAST THE CIRCLE (using a tootsie roll): CALL THE QUARTERS: Mousse of the East, Fluffy one! great prince of the palace of dessert. Be present, we pray thee, And guard this circle from all moochers Approaching from the East. Fondue of the South, Molten One! Great prince of the palace decadence. Be present we pray thee, and guard this circle from all diet Approaching from the South. Cocoa of the West, Satisfying One! Great prince of the palace of thirst. Be present we pray thee, And guard this circle from all carob Approaching from the West. Rocky Road of the North, Cold One! Great prince of the palace of crunchy. Be present we pray thee, And guard this circle from all cheap imitations Approaching from the North.

MAIN RITUAL: HANDMAIDEN (Henceforth known as the Swiss Miss): Listen to the words of the Mother of Chocolate; who was of old called; Godiva, Ethel M, Sara Lee, Nestle, Mrs. See, and by many other names: HPS: Whenever you have one of those cravings, once in a while and better it be when your checkbook is full, then shall you assemble in a great public place and bring offerings of money to the spirit of Me, who is Queen of all Goodies. In the Mall shall you assemble, you who have eaten all your chocolate and are hungry for more. To you I shall bring Good Things for your tongue. And you shall be free from depression, and as a sign that you are truly free, you shall have chocolate smears on your cheeks, and you shall munch, nosh, snack, feast, and make yummy noises, all in my presence.

For mine is the ecstasy of phenylalanine (FEEN-EL-AL-A-NEEN), and mine is also the Joy on Earth, yea, even into High Orbit for my law is "Melts in your mouth, not in your hand." Keep clean your fingers, carry Wet Ones always, let none stop you aside. For mine is the secret that opens your mouth, and mine is the taste that puts a smile on your lips and comfy padding pounds on your hips. I am the Gracious Goddess who gives the gift of joy unto the tummies of men and women. Upon earth, I give knowledge of all things delicious, and beyond death.......well, I can't do much there. Sorry about that. I demand only your money in sacrifice; for behold, chocolate is a business and you have to pay for those truffles before you eat them.

SWISS MISS: Hear now the words of the Goodie Goddess, she in the dust of whose feet are the cheap imitations, whose body graces candy racks and finer stores everywhere: I, who am the beauty of chocolate chips, and the satisfying softness of big bars, the mystery of how they get the filling inside of truffles, and fill the hearts of all but Philistines with desire, call unto thy soul to arise and come unto me. For I am the soul of candy; from me do all confections spring, and unto me all of you shall return, again....and again....and again...... and again. Before my smeared face, beloved of Women and Men, thine innermost divine self shall be enfolded in the rapture of overdose. Let my taste be within thy mouth that rejoices.

For behold, all acts of yumminess and pleasure are my rituals. Therefore let there be gooeyness and mess, crispness and crackling, big slabs and bite size pieces, peanut butter and chocolate covered cherries all within you. And you who think to seek me, know that your seeking and yearning shall avail you not unless you know the Mystery; "We shall sell no chocolate until you pay for it." For behold; I have been with you since you were just a baby, and I am that which is attained at nearly any shop in the land. Messed Be.

SWISS MISS: Hear now the words of the Chocolate God, who was called Ghirardelli, Milton Snavely Hershey, Bosco, Fudgesicle, and by many other names. HP: I am the strength of the candy rack, and the piece that fell on the floor, but looks like it might not have gotten too dirty, and the deepest bitterness of dark chocolate. No matter how you try to resist the call of chocolate, I will hunt you out and I will become your sacred prey. I am warmth of hot cocoa in the dead of winter, and the call of the road that leads you to that really expensive Godiva store downtown. I give you my creatures, the fire of love of chocolate, the power of jaw strength to bite off a piece of that frozen Milky Way bar, and the shelter of Haagen Daz when that big date didn't work out.

You are dear to me, and I instill in you my power of a piece of chocolate that you had forgotten you had hidden, and the power of vision and magickal sight with which you can spot a candy counter a mile away. By the powers of the half melted bar in the glorious sun, I charge you, by the darkest depths of the bottom of the cocoa pot and lingering smell of bittersweet chocolate, I charge you, and by the beauty of a perfectly swirled vanilla butter cream, I charge you. Follow your heart and your instinct, wherever they lead you. The wealth in your pocket can buy you treats that a Mayan king would envy. Take joy in that first bite of lecithin emulsified cocoa, and in the last satisfying slurp of Yoo-Hoo. Yet you must be wary of deceit. Eat not of that which is called "Baking Chocolate" for it is vile and bitter. Lastly, always remember to leave some chocolate behind you. Be not greedy, but let yourself be known as a connoisseur.

Leave a little for someone else. I am with you always, just over your shoulder, or around the next corner. I am the Lord of Chocolate, and when you have reached the end of your hoard, I will never be farther away from you that that 7-Eleven on the corner. I am the spirit of the Wild Child; the Inner Child who can never get quite enough. If you are a true chocolate lover, then your soul and mine are intertwined.

CUPCAKES & YOO-HOO: (The blessing of the Yoo-Hoo) HP: Be it known that milk chocolate is not better that dark chocolate. HPS: Nor is dark chocolate better than milk chocolate. HP: For both are better than the falsely named "White Chocolate." HPS: And neither one is carob. HP: As the frosting is to the cupcake. HPS: So the creamy nougat is to the Milky Way Bar. BOTH: And when they are eaten, they are yummy in truth, for there is no greater snack in all the world than one made of chocolate. (The blessing of the cupcakes)

HP: Frosting is keen, HPS: And the frosting is neat. BOTH: Great Goddess! Let's eat! Feasting and drinking (chocolate liqueur, if possible), music and dance. Dismiss Quarters. HPS: Oh, ye mighty goodies of the _______________, We thank you for attending our rites and guarding our circle and ere you depart for your sweet and sticky realms, We say unto you, "N-E-S-T-L-E-S, Nestles makes the very best." ALL: "Chooooc-laaate."

(After all the quarters have been dismissed, give a final, satisfying belch at the East.) Close circle.

Dear sir remember one of the basic principles of witchcraft.

To Keep Silent:

To be Silent encompasses several similar perimeters, and is the hardest of the four principles to adhere to. First you must learn to concentrate and focus to the point that you shut out all outside influences and distractions. Then you must learn to listen, listen to your inner psyche through meditation. Now, you should never share what you are currently doing with anyone because they may inadvertently project doubts or concerns onto your magickal work hindering your progress. Keep silent because "power shared is power lost", and each time you speak about an incomplete working, you diminish some of the magick’s effectiveness. Also, be very cautious of whom you choose to share your secrets, as petty emotions such as fear, insecurity, jealousy, or envy can damage or hinder any working. Secrecy is the honor of the witch and the very essence of his/her craft itself.

Perhaps you didn't take that 'factor' into account on an individual level. Magic's effectiveness is very much determined by one's own intent. Their true will's reflection. Sharing others (Even their doubts and such) Is in no way hindering the knowledge I gain. This is simply due to the fact that my will can not be shaken.

Now, anymore sharers out there?

Ahem... if such magick exists then I doubt it has a colour or is routed in any camp. Whilst there is ample evidence to suggest a dicotomy, the light and dark sides of a coin.

The coin is still one in itself, almost self testing.

The dellusion is that Sin, evil and Good have no interplaying parts.

Every major religion rejects this notion, the Gin, Satan call the flip side what you will is nothing more than "the test" Indeed the "tester" is described as the best of the best and thus the dark side is given licence by the creator.

This is where ordinary folks get confused.

Silence? yes this is true. There is no test if all know the nature of our existence. The supernatural is not for ordinary folk nor indeed the military, they may attempt to abuse such communication.

Commune, communication is the logical and justified mind set and belief that may or may not be granted by a higher power.

Thus a wish and belief may be granted or denied.

Spell casters are cataylsts not Devine.

Words, words are important as they form the mindset behind your commune with something greater. Language is irrelevant, although humans tend to feel stronger about certain mystical ancient tongues, thus they communicate more efficiently. In my experience it makes little difference if you mean what you say. The Devine is most certainly not restricted.

Emotion, human emotion plays a big part in casting or as I prefer, requesting...for obvious reasons.

Let me explain, if you see a little angry starving dof that yaps and snarks at its plight on the streets of Bombay, you walk by.

If you see the same dog teary eyed, whimpering and begging, you might just feed it....Chocolate.

P.s. if anyone says chocolate is bad for dogs I will knock your teeth out, a little spell a biker once posted ;)

I am going to assume that this thread is for serious seekers, and I have read the word of warning from ~Temp~

I also read the comment about an addition to an "arsenal"? Since that is a negative connotation, I would rather not post any rituals/incantations/etc. of any kind because of the needless misuse that may be intended.

If you are not seriously into the esoterics then you may not know a damned thing about the practice thereof.

It is not my intention to rant on this thread, but certain things need to be said for those who may be, "young", "naive", or new to the Craft and its disciplines.

I won't repeat any warnings that haven't already been mentioned. Nor do I take that, "chocolate" spell seriously...

If you wish to create a "spell" that is purely intended for personal use, then have at it... since many spells are created that way. Just don't be so young as to assume that people who are serious will out right share their knowledge with you in the category of "esoteric knowledge".

You honestly do not have to do "magic" the same way everybody else does it. It's something that can be self-taught and it's actually better to do it YOUR OWN WAY. Sure other people's advice can be a nice starting ground on how to get started but it's not needed. All one needs is their own minds, intentions, focus, emotional groundings, and a great trained imagination.

Everything else are just tools. Nothing more...

Spell Sharing :]

AngelicKitrA, I agree completely with what you have said. Tools are unnecessary but many practioners still use them. I occasionally use an athame and candles, but all one really needs is an open clear strong mind.

Tools and “spells” are individually specific and it is considered at best to be impolite for a stranger to wish to paw around in them. Tools are generally energized with the life energy of the owner and are only handled by them or someone very close to them. Trust must be earned through long interaction before a practioner shares “spells” or allows another to use their tools.

Magick is a personal pursuit and should be developed individually. Each person must find what works for them. Books, other’s “spells”, and various other information should be used as a starting point as there is individually different resonant energy that a practioner brings with them to a work. Correspondences vary from person to person with herbs stones etc as each person interacts differently with nature and the Source.

I was particularly distressed by the confusion of “black” magick which is evil magick with “dark” magick which can be good or evil depending only on the intent of the work. “Dark” magick is magick performed in the dark (night), by the dark of the moon, and / or with facets of the Source associated with darkness. I would suggest that this confusion can be removed by education. Konstantinos covers this well in his works.

I am not a “whitelighter” or a “fluffy bunny” but I do have a moral/ethical compass I follow, “Harm None”.

May the darkness bless us all.

Michael

This forum thread example is why many people do not post in the main forum.

Most people don't have any common sense and somehow they landed here on VR and brought their lack of guidance with'em.

I am confused Conundrum, have I been to harsh? My protective instincts were triggered by the thread's creator's attitude and unconcern for ethics of magick. I have not posted in the main forum in months but this title caught my attention enough for me to investigate and act.

The main forum is a place of well thought out discourse and by that limits input to serious topics.

No, I didn't think you were harsh. I was referring to some of the responses to the thread in general. For example some people objected to the use of the word "arsenal" by the thread's creator. Yet, none of them bothered to ask what was meant by it. Many people are not articulate so they may use a word that doesn't really belong in a certain context because they cannot think of a better word to use. There are people in the main forum who will often nit-pick on things that don't really have anything to do with the topic. Their small minds pick out things to be negative about instead of responding to the meat of the matter. In this case the subject was spell sharing. Either people want to share or they don't and their reasons for doing either are valid. But when they start focusing on grammar, diction or other such elements, it becomes ridiculous, so many people will not post in the main forum because of it. Of course there are other reasons for people not wanting to post in the main forum, like people just being mean or stupid.

New thoughts on me

I may have started out a Jehovah's Witness but I got over that and opened my self to the world: military, Paganism, and friends and family from all beliefs, religions, and life styles. Always here with no prejudices or biases. I only lied for the military. Unless national security is at stake I am truthful, literal, and a bit blunt in what I say. I know I am babbling on but I just want you to understand me also.

As a preteen, my sisters and I had Bible study with a member of the Jehovah's Witness group; my youngest sister is one, while my other sister and I are not. (My sis doesn't practice any religion, although she had a Catholic wedding, and studied Santeria. I consider myself an Agnostic).

I love to study religions of all kinds - for the history.

Hi dear friend,

I am always happy to see you. I know my journal post was a bit odd but it was a paragraph I excised from a message but still wanted to share. It was mainly meant to show I am open to most anything and will decide my action truthfully on the moment.

Hugs

Hi dear friend,

Thank you my dear friend so much as you brought sunshine into may dark mood. :)

Yes, things are turning around. I have one job offer and another possibility if approved by a senior corporate manager. Both would pay $50 to $60 K, both are as senior chemists, both are with plants whose home office is out of state. and both are with great people. One is in a town 22 miles away while the other is 70 miles away by interstate. One is glues and the other is beauty products and polymers to load them on. Both would have a steep learning curve and would be challenging. I am just waiting for a phone call to allow me to make a decision. Feast or famine. Either way I am saying good bye to my current job.

Hugs

Michael

Nietzsche's thoughts to aspire to

I assess the power of a will by how much resistance, pain, torture it endures and knows how to turn to its advantage.

It is always consoling to think of suicide: in that way one gets through many a bad night.

Friedrich Nietzsche

The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.

The true man wants two things: danger and play. For that reason he wants woman, as the most dangerous plaything.
